Denstone® deltaP® Support Media
Denstone® deltaP® engineered media is unlike any traditional spherical bed support media and can increase the performance of your reactor. This technological breakthrough offers multiple benefits, improving your overall operating performance and bottom line results.
Pressure Drop Performance Significantly Improved
Pressure drop is a key indicator of a unit's performance, and Saint-Gobain NorPro's Research and Development team designed Denstone deltaP to have a significantly lower pressure drop across the support bed. Extensive testing confirmed the pressure
drop advantage of Denstone deltaP compared to standard support media systems.
Denstone® deltaP® Benefits
- Improved pressure drop performance across the support bed
- Fewer layers required to retain catalyst bed
- Faster, less complicated installation
- Reduced support media volume, allowing more catalyst
The new Denstone deltaP media outperforms
spherical support media by 2:1 |
Reduced Number of Sizes Equals Easier Installation Plus More Catalyst Volume
With Denstone deltaP engineered support media, the process of inventory storage and installation is simplified. Only two sizes, and in some cases only one, of Denstone deltaP media are required where a traditional reactor loading might consist of up to four layers of different support media sizes. This reduced number of layers could lead to a decrease in the total support media volume in the reactor, potentially allowing more catalyst volume in some applications.
Testing Confirms No Catalyst Migration
Extensive testing proves that the Denstone deltaP support media completely retains all the catalyst particles with no migration into or through the support bed.
